need advice on low maintenance hardy shrubs, bushes, flowers for house bordering -?

How to lay bricks as edgers for landscaping?

Hello, Thanks for considering answering my question! We have some extra bricks from when we purchased our home. I would like to use them as edgers for 2 flower beds and at the base of mulch around the tree. My question is whats the best way to lay them?Do I need to dig a small "trench" for them? Landscaping help for large, steep hillside?

My home is in the northeast USA. I have a large, steep graded area to the right of my driveway that gets a lot of direct sunlight. It measures approximately 40 feet by 10 feet. The previous owners planted hostas evenly spaced, about 3 feet apart. When they are blooming the hostas are quite large (2 feet in diameter).
